About Producer

Tyrokomeio Mpampounis is a family-owned cheese making business in Naxos, Greece. The beginning was made many years back, by the great-grandfather Giorgos Mpampounis, shepherd in the mountains of Naxos, with 150 sheep and goats. The third and fourth generation continue today to create traditional cheese products with a unique character, in a privately owned, modernized cheese factory in mountainous Naxos and with about 1000 of our own sheep and goats. The basic principle of the family is the development products combining technology with tradition, paying special attention and care to both animals and raw materials.
